Hi, I’m Gail Fuller and I’m a recovering conventional farmer.

When Lynnette and I moved here to this farm a few years ago, we re-evaluated our vision and our goals. I’d like to share them with you and invite you on our journey to regenerate this land.

Farm

1 A. Attempt to do on our new farm in 5 years what it took 20 years to do on our previous farm. At the minimum:

  • Double Soil Organic Matter (SOM).

  • Increase water infiltration rates by 10x

  • Exponentially increases biodiversity

  • Add more diversity (alley cropping, food forest, etc.)

1 B. Measure all of this.

We are committed to doing all of the above. Tracking and measurement by soil scientists, biologists, and other regenerative researchers cost money. That’s where we welcome your collaboration. We would love to share our farm’s evolution from a degraded wasteland to a rich biodiverse ecosystem teeming with life to show other farmers what’s possible and move academic research forward through our experiments.

Education

2. Add smaller, more hands-on workshops to complement the annual Fuller Field School gathering.

3. Add on-farm dinners that educate as well as nourish.

Make changes at large scales. We have less than 10 years left. The time is NOW.

If you feel the urgency too, join us in bringing small groups of people together.

It’s in these small gatherings that hearts open and minds are set free, concepts are deeply understood and applied in a real-world setting, and lifelong friendships are forged.

The Dead Zone in the Gulf of Mexico begins in the Midwest, and the transformation must happen in our minds first. I have deep and abiding empathy for other farmers.

I once walked in their shoes so I know just how powerful the system is, and how hard it is to go against the grain.

Agrotourism

4. Expand farm tours and opening our farm to visitors so more people can learn about soil health and regeneration. We have seen how powerful it is to bring people onto our land and show them versus watching YouTube videos or attending a Zoom webinar. It’s life-changing. We need to figure out a way to do this more efficiently. This is our next step. We welcome your ideas and collaboration!

Food

5. Continue to emphasize the value of food, not just in nourishing our bodies, but of our souls. Food is medicine!

“Gail and Lynnette somehow nailed the formula of blending ease and camaraderie with provocative ideas in a way that participants can’t help but grow and challenge themselves.”

Judith D. Schwartz

It takes a community.

We welcome you to ours!

Ways You Can Help

Co-Create a Legacy Project

We work together to meet your philanthropic and our strategic goals to co-create a project together that’s greater than a sum of its parts.

Fund Noteworthy Research

The best scientists have taught at Fuller Field School, so we have a nuanced view on how to do research that has real-world application.

Sponsor Farmer Training

We are actively looking to expand our educational events for farmers in the Midwest so they can learn in one year what it took us decades to learn.

Volunteer

We always need volunteers on the farm to help us with on-farm projects. If you want a hands-on education on a real regenerative farm, get in touch!

Partner With Us

Tell us how you’d like to collaborate. Let’s see if we can create something that’s exponentially better than what either of us could create alone.
